Karachaganak Oil & Gas Condensate Field

Project Name: Karachaganak Oil & Gas Condensate Field

Scope: Ground-Penetrating Radar and Electromagnetic Scanning Survey Works

Client: Bureau Veritas Kazakhstan Industrial Services LLP

Location: Aksai, Uralsk, Kazakhstan

GEOTEC performed Ground-Penetrating Radar (GPR) and Electromagnetic Scanning works for the detection and research in the plan and section of local irregularities connected with availability of natural and manufactured barriers (rivers, roads and railways, underground pipelines, …) and areas of geological hazard developments in Karachaganak Oil & Gas Condensate Field for West Kazakhstan Pipeline Project and Anti-Terrorism System Fence Construction Project

Geophysical activities are carried out on longitudinal and transverse profiles of the study: along the centerline of the pipeline (the Central line of the corridor), at the transition of pipeline crossings of water obstacles, crossing artificial and natural obstacles (roads, Railways, underground utilities and areas of development of geological hazard) if any exist.

During survey job following survey equipment will be used:

  • Ground-Penetrating Radar OKO‐2
  • Electromagnetic Profiler Nemfis AEMP-14
