TCO Main Diesel Fuel Storage Expansion Project and TCOManifold Upgrade Project

Project Name: TCO Main Diesel Fuel Storage Expansion Project and TCOManifold Upgrade Project

Scope: Underground Services/Objects Detection Survey by Ground Penetrating Radar (GPR)

Client: TCO, Tengizchevroil

Location: Tengiz, Atyrau, Kazakhstan

GEOTEC carried out Underground Services/Objects Detection Survey by Ground-Penetrating Radar (GPR) survey works at existing TCO facilities in Tengizchevroil Tengiz Oil Field to determine any possible underground utilities at the territory of work sites Drilling Base, Metering Stations 12, 14 and 17.

Two-dimensional survey with Ground Radar Probing Method is performed on profiles, early prepared by Geotec Survey team.

In accordance with the technical specifications GPR work in area option is performed along the profiles at a distance of 2.5×2.5 m from each other, planned to take into account the real situation of the facilities operating at the sites.

Engineering and geophysical site investigations by ground probing radar method along each of the profiles performed within usage of high-speed shielded antenna block MG-400M3 in two polarizations (E and H) of the electromagnetic field vector in increments of 0.025 m along the profile, which increased the probability of detecting objects of small geometric sizes (cables).
